RCIA
The R.C.I.A. Process
(The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Have you ever considered becoming Catholic?
What is RCIA?
We are ready to begin our RCIA process classes (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). These classes are for those who wish to join the Catholic Church, to learn more about the Catholic faith, or simply want an update of the Catholic Christian faith.
You may have been baptized in another Christian faith, but you would like to join our community and become a member of the Catholic Church. In this case you would not need to be baptized again, but you would receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. This means that you would become a full member of the Catholic CHurch and so would be able to receive Holy Communion with us.
You may already be a Catholic, i.e., you hae been baptized and have made your first Holy Communion, but you have never received the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Church is asking that you receive this Sacrament before receiving the Sacrament of Marriage.
RCIA classes will begin September 13th at 7:00 pm and every Tuesday thereafter until the Easter Vigil April 7th. These classes will provide a good update of our faith and you would enjoy the talks and companionship of those going through the process. Information is in our weekly bulletin and also on our Parish website. Please check this out for more information.
If you are interested or have any questions concerning RCIA feel free to contact Sue Recktenwald, our RCIA Coordinator. She can be reached at the Church office 969-0004 ext. 204.

Seton Seniors

All of our Parish members who are "about" 55 (plus or minus a few years) are invited to get together once a month for breakfast or special activities. They enjoy lunches, CLR, shuffleboard, plays, Bernheim Forest, movies, Scripture study, "Fat Tuesday" lunches and just getting together for fun!

Mark your calendars! Gatherings are scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm (unless otherwise noted in the bulletin). We are going to play a little and have a lot of laughs! Please RSVP to Rose, Bev or Elaine.

You don't have to join and there are no membership fees. Just watch the bulletin for times and places, and come have fun! If you have questions, please call Rose Beard, Bev Dickerson or Elaine.

Adult Scripture Sharing

Here at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton we have an Adult Scripture Sharing that meets weekly. These sessions are a time to share our Sunday lectionary Readings. We listen to the Sunday Readings and then have questions from our Adult Scripture Journal to share. These questions are such to help us live out our everyday lives. These sharing timnes are very enriching and good to know that others are on the same faith journey as we are.

When we do hear the Readings on Sundays we find that it does help to hear them again. It is always interesting to hear what is in the homily and think about our weekly discussion. Another plus with our gathering is the friendships you form when meeting. You do get to know your fellow parishioners on a spiritual level.

Our Sunday Adult Scripture Sharing will start back September 18th from 10:00-11:30 am in our meeting room. All in the Parish are invited to attend. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Sue Recktenwald at 969-0004 ext.204.
